About me
Jordan Faraggi’s exercises in mixed media, painting and drawing examine motion and touch. While critiquing the lack of tactility and handmade qualities within everyday life an ever changing, faster moving world. His path forward resides in classic 2D animation with a heavy lean on cel animation based principles and traditional technique. Harboring much appreciation and inspiration from Eastern based, Limited Animation concepts between the early 80s to the late 90s. An era where such concepts were pushed to their maxim. Faraggi’s work now resides on breaking down these concepts while adapting them to a modern space and view. Finally using these ideas to further push the envelope in both kinetic movement, the study of motion, the emotional connection of motion and visual tactility.
